Most Homeowners Choose Us for Pool Installation
Most GTA residents trust our team to design and build custom insulated concrete form pools engineered to withstand Toronto’s frequent freeze-thaw cycles. At Orange Pools, we bring more than 10 years of combined experience to every installation project we undertake. We combine deep expertise in ICF swimming pools with industry-leading construction practices to build your dream pool.
The Orange Pools team has helped homeowners in neighbourhoods along The Bridle Paths, Rosedale, and across the GTA to design and install reinforced, insulated pools. In neighbourhoods like Rosedale, residential properties have narrow side yards. That means precast fiberglass pool shells can’t be easily transported to the site. However, smaller, modular ICF blocks can be carried by hand through your garden gate.
Here’s what makes us a go-to pool contractor for homeowners in neighbourhoods across the Greater Toronto Area.
- Over 10 years of experience in modern pool design & installation.
- Custom pool design-build solutions.
- 3D modeling and visualization technology.
- Licensed, insured, and WSIB-compliant contractor.
- End-to-end project management and support.
Our Process: From Inspection to Final Cleanup
At Orange Pools, we begin the ICF pool installation process with a professional site assessment. This ensures proper planning and compliance with Toronto’s building regulations. Here are the other steps that our professional pool builders follow.
- Step 1: Permits and Site Preparation Before site preparation begins, our team will review setback requirements, zoning limitations, drainage conditions, and fence-enclosure regulations specific to your neighbourhoods. Homes near ravines or protected green spaces may also require TRCA review or arborist assessments before construction begins.
- Step 2: Excavation, Footings, and Structural Base Work After permits are issued, excavation begins in accordance with your approved pool design and property conditions. In homes with limited backyard access, we may use smaller excavation equipment to protect surrounding structures and landscaping. Once excavation is complete, we'll pour reinforced concrete footings or a structural slab foundation. Vertical steel reinforcement is then installed to provide long-term support for the ICF wall system.
- Step 3: ICF Block Installation and Reinforcement Next, we’ll assemble the insulated concrete form blocks to create the pool's structural shell. These lightweight interlocking blocks allow for flexible designs while providing excellent thermal insulation and durability. Inside the wall cavities, we install horizontal and vertical steel rebar, then pump concrete into the forms to create a solid reinforced structure.
- Step 4: Waterproofing, Finishing, and Final Inspection Once the structural shell is complete, we smooth the interior walls and prepare them for the final finish system. Depending on the design, this may include a premium vinyl liner, tile finish, or specialized waterproof coating. Before we pump in pool water, we'll perform a final inspection to verify the pool's structural integrity and safety compliance.
