• Safety and Enclosure Compliance Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 447 treats the indoor pool room itself as part of the safety enclosure. Thus, entry doors leading directly into the pool area must include self-closing and self-latching hardware. In many projects, operable windows also require restricted openings to improve child safety and reduce unauthorized pool access.
